SANNOY is a Bangladeshi, non-profit, volunteer-led feminist organization that works for the sexual and gender-diverse community in Bangladesh.
Mission
Sannoy's mission is to ensure gender justice, social justice, empowerment, and overall human rights of women, Hijra, transgender, intersex, and gender-diverse communities in Bangladesh.
Objective
We aim to create a platform where marginalized women, Hijra, transgender, intersex, and people belonging to gender-diverse communities can contribute to advocating for their rights. Through advocacy, we want to ensure the socio-political empowerment of this community and end the human rights violations, and gender-based violence that members of this community face. We help the movement that will end the plight members of these communities face.
We also hope to work for sustainable development by mobilizing these communities and focusing on improving their education, health, legal access, technological access, resource building, research, and capacity-building.
Who are We?
We are a rights-based organization comprising young people from Bangladesh. We aim to contribute to creating a non-discriminatory, inclusive society by spreading the teachings of feminism and human rights at every level of society.
