Sano Paila (A Little Step)

Sano Paila, a community-based non-profit organization in Nepal, has been a tireless champion for disadvantaged communities since 2006. It is dedicated to developing sustainable, locally driven solutions to address critical social, economic, and political issues often overlooked by the government and private sectors. Over the past 17 years, Sano Paila has achieved remarkable results in diverse areas, including youth development, substance abuse treatment and crime prevention, child protection, literacy, health services, food security, peacebuilding, social enterprises, and crisis response. We inspire and work with disenfranchised communities through education, youth volunteerism, and grassroots organizing to create sustainable solutions to complex problems, ensuring equitable participation and sustainability. Through various initiatives, Sano Paila has established ourselves as a trusted leader in community development in Nepal. Our 17-year journey is a testament to the transformative power of community-driven action. Today, Sano Paila stands as a powerful example of the impact of collective effort. Our approach is rooted in diversity, inclusion, and leadership, believing that small steps can have a big impact in promoting good citizenship and positive thinking within communities.
