At Santi School our mission is to empower children, their teachers and their communities to transform the experience of learning in rural Nepal, with a focus on serving girls, ethnic minorities and underserved groups.
Santi School Project was established in 2006. As its first project, it established the Shanti Primary School in Ramche Sindhupalchowk, Nepal in 2008 and supported its operation for four years - handing the school to the local community in 2012. It also rebuilt and renovated school buildings and provided support to develop other infra structure, including drinking water system and toilets, at various public schools in Nepal. It also conducts teacher training, focusing on the early childhood education and teaching in English medium. It also mobilizes local and international volunteers to broaden the horizons of the students and the community and help the school in other activities as well.
It takes an holistic approach of integrating its various components at a region to maximize the impact of its programs.
