SAPOT Tech PLT

SAPOT is your digital self-care and social support platform that helps young adults with poor mental wellbeing to manage their thoughts and emotions. With only 200+ clinical psychologists and 400+ psychiatrists to address 32 Million Malaysians, we saw the need to address the subclinical cases before they become worse. Through rigorous collection of data from potential users, we uncovered that the subclinical Malaysian youths perceive meeting professionals in formal settings as intimidating. Although they want help, they feel as though their problems are still not severe enough to escalate into a professional setting. However, at such a crucial point, accumulating unresolved stress and not addressing it can cause mental and physical health issues in the long run. SAPOT consists of 3 main components: SAPOT Tools,SAPOT Warrior, and SAPOT Stories. SAPOT Tools are digitised therapy worksheets, techniques, and assessments that encourage self-discovery. These self-help tools help uncover the root cause of the users' issues and what actions they can take to address them. SAPOT Warrior is a certified peer support specialist (PSS). A certified Peer Support Specialist (recovered and trained mental health survivors) shares their recovery journey and guides the user to seek the right solutions. They go through peer support specialist training to support those who are struggling with mental health. The idea is to emulate the essence of friendship while helping users uncover their underlying issues SAPOT Stories allows the community to share stories of their mental health struggles. This helps reduce the mental health stigma. Additionally, we would include the experts' views as a form of psychoeducation on how to best manage the problem.
