Sapura Technics is the newest and most dynamic aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services company for narrow body commercial aircraft located in Senai International Airport, Johor, Malaysia. Sapura Technics will engage in commercial MRO services providing line and heavy maintenance services for Boeing B737 series and Airbus A320 family aircraft types. The management team of Sapura Technics is spearheaded by personnel with over 20 years’ experience in the airline and MRO industry.
The formation of Sapura Technics is driven by the MRO market demand within South East Asia. The commercial MRO market remains strong driven by rapidly growing fleet size to meet the resilient air travel demand and increasing middle class population.
Sapura Technics envisions to be the preferred commercial MRO service provider and is set to support the growing needs of the commercial aircraft MRO demand and at the same time creating new high-income job opportunities.
Sapura Technics Sdn Bhd was formed on 12th December 2018 and is scheduled to begin initial MRO operation with existing two hangars in Senai Airport by August 2019, subject to obtaining Part 145 approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).
