South Asia Research and Information Institute

South Asia Research and Information Institute (SARII) is a non-profit organization focused on research and information dissemination related to South Asia and is a tax-exempt public charity under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of USA. SARII aims to engender a critical understanding of South Asia among the South Asian diaspora as well as others through scholarly research and dissemination of reliable information. In furtherance of this objective, SARII will collaborate with scholars and institutions studying South Asia, pursue inter-disciplinary scholarly research and disseminate information through conferences, lectures, and publications. The Institute plans to have several outreach programs targeted primarily at the lay South Asian immigrant community.
