In the 1970ies a few courageous entrepreneurs decided to build the most modern ski factory of the world in a small village of 2,000 inhabitants at 1,000m above sea level in the South Tyrolean Alps.
The so-called Sarner Ski were presented for the first time at the ISPO sports fair in Munich in 1974. Due to their modern design, the skis quickly found a worldwide market and were exported even to the US and Japan. However, the last pair was already produced in 1979 and the factory was shut down despite full order books because of liquidity problems.
Hans Innerebner worked in the Sarner ski factory from 1974 to 1977 and it was his long-cherished dream to bring Sarner Ski back to life. Together with his sons Lukas and Christoph, Hans has fulfilled this dream. After more than 40 years Sarner Ski are available on the market again.
