Sarunna was born from an ambitious dream of a family: to bring health to the tables of Brazil and the world, with the taste and crunchiness of our cerrado, while working to preserve this which is the most threatened biome in Brazil. Led by the eldest of the three brothers, the business is based on family farming and the sustainable and wild extractivism of the baru. In other words, we only harvest what native trees give us, not industrial plantations. In addition to our own production, we buy fruit from hundreds of families in the Minas Gerais triangle region and southern Goiás, contributing to the maintenance of the trees and creating a fair and inclusive value chain.
The chestnut has a neutral flavor, slightly sweet at the end, and can be consumed pure or used as an ingredient in sweet and savory recipes, such as cakes, pies, cookies; accompaniment in salads, in açaí or lightly salted to accompany a beer. It's up to your culinary imagination.
