Radiation oncologists, radiation physicists, radiation biologists, nurses and radiographers are united in this association with the objective to promote excellence in the field of radiotherapy in our country.
The activities of SASRO are concentrated on research, on the communication of scientific results and on the elaboration of a teaching program in radiation oncology in Switzerland.
SASRO is strongly linked with SRO (Society of Swiss Radiation Oncologists), SGSMP (Swiss Society of Radiobiology and Medical Physics) and the radiooncological group of SAKK (Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research).
The annual scientific meeting represents an important activity of the society. It provides an excellent opportunity for an exchange of ideas and for the reporting of research findings among members and different occupational groups in the field of radiooncology.
