SASTRA University

SASTRA offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Engineering, Sciences, Management, Law and Humanities. SASTRA has been re-accredited (IV Cycle) by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a maximum grade of ‘A++’ (3.76/4.00). Nine of SASTRA’s engineering programmes have also received international accreditation from the Institution of Engineers & Technology (IET), UK. SASTRA is recognised as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation by the Government of India. SASTRA has been consistently ranked among the top 30 Universities of the country by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The need for a University to be comprehensive in its overall pursuit has been a key input in SASTRA's endeavours to engage in research, teaching, consultancy, training and community outreach activities. SASTRA has a strong emphasis on research and innovation with several research centres and laboratories dedicated to cutting-edge research in areas such as artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, biotechnology, cyber-physical systems, digital manufacturing, energy & environment, materials science, Indian Knowledge Systems, etc. The University encourages faculty and learners to engage in research activities and collaborate with industry and academia. SASTRA has established the SASTRA’s Hub for Research & Innovation (SHRI), which is a multidisciplinary centre with a mandate to translate laboratory innovations to products and for technology development.
