The Save the Six Bells Campaign is a community effort to bring new life to the historic Six Bells Inn in Peterstone Wentlooge in South Wales. This 16th-century building, which has been closed for 6 years, will be transformed into a lively, multi-purpose hub. Our goal is to create a place that serves everyone—a space for socialising, learning, and supporting local businesses, while also celebrating the unique history and environment of the Gwent Levels.
Our Vision
We want to restore the Six Bells to its former glory while making it a space for the future. The Six Bells will become:
• A Pub/Café: A welcoming space for families, friends, and neighbours to enjoy fresh, local food and drinks. Creating a stop off point for the many visitors to this section of the Welsh Coastal Path.
• A Community Shop: A place to buy essentials and fresh produce from local farmers and producers, as well as arts and crafts from local artists.
• A Visitor Centre: Sharing the stories, history, and wildlife of the Gwent Levels through fun and interactive displays.
