501(C)(3) non profit run 100% by a volunteer grassroots group of neighbors in Calusa, West Kendall, Miami-Dade County advocating for the preservation of our 168 acres of greenspace and wildlife habitat in the heart of our community. We are advocating for preservation of a rare multi-species rookery, the Calusa Rookery, where the State Threatened Tricolored Heron is nesting. We are advocating for protection from a proposed luxury, gated, GL Homes development on parks and rec designated land intended to be preserved under a land use covenant for 99 years. We are also advocating for increased resident input in the zoning process and local decision making.
