SaveMe was founded in 2017 as a collective concept by Hendrik Combrinck, Corne Jooste, Mare Greyling and Matthys Ras. Development and refinement of the concept has led to the use of NFC technology partnered with a mobile application that can assist both first responders and patients with crucial communication. SaveMe has spawned from the need of information that arose when first responders are called to the scene of an emergency and patients are unable to communicate medical information paramount to the methods of treatment that they should receive e.g. allergies, medical history, etc.
