Save Wild Cats Foundation

The Save Wild Cats Foundation, established in 2019, is dedicated to protecting and preserving the world’s most endangered small cat species. While more than 95% of conservation funds NGOs raise are directed toward big cats like lions, tigers, panthers, and cheetahs, smaller, lesser-known species often face extinction without recognition or adequate support. At our foundation, we focus on these vulnerable species, including the Iriomote cat, black-footed cat, African golden cat, and Bornean bay cat. Our mission extends beyond raising awareness; it’s rooted in actionable conservation and advanced scientific research. We prioritize the development of innovative assisted reproduction techniques and the collection and preservation of genetic material, including sperm and oocytes, to ensure the long-term survival of these elusive species. From the lush forests of Asia, home to the kushy cat, Bornean mormi, marbled leopard, and Sundaic panther, to the savannas of Africa where the black-footed cat and African golden cat roam, our work spans continents to protect these unique creatures from disappearing into obscurity.
