We are an educational institution designed to give students the experience of working in a remote team of professional software developers. Led by a 20 year veteran of the industry, we expose students to the knowledge, challenges, and best practices they will need to understand in order to be awesome, paid developers in a corporate/start-up setting.
Our current project is a user-generated question-and-answer database which generates dynamic exams on any topic. It is written in Angular 7+ (Javascript) on the front end, and Spring Boot (Java) on the back end, with a MySQL database.
We keep a backlog of issues, groom and plan them in an Agile fashion, as well. We operate in two-week sprints, in which students are assigned tasks, and expected to learn by asking questions and doing the research necessary to complete them. We communicate via Slack, and are always available to offer support.
Future plans include monetizing our projects, and earning recruitment fees. Everyone who contributes will share in our profit.
