The Sawab Center is a research center dedicated to countering the ideology of extremists who misuse religion for their own agenda. We believe in a multi-faceted approach to tackling extremism by studying its underlying drivers and developing research-based strategies to counter it. Our work focuses on a range of issues, from transnational terrorist groups to the spread of extremist thought, and our research incorporates socio-economic and psychological factors that drive radicalization. The Sawab Center seeks to offer a unique perspective on the effect of radical thinking on societies and aspires to a peaceful, prosperous, and inclusive society free from extremism and terrorism.
