There are many Muslim Apps out that offer various different services, but Sawa Global felt that very few are Masjid-centric, so we created Sawa Global.
‘Sawa’ in Arabic means to connect, and our aim is to create virtual communities around the physical location of the Masjid; the heart of our communities.
Sawa has listed approx 2500 Masjids across the UK and is the first App to use geofence notifications to facilitate donations to Masjids across the UK.
We have been developing Sawa for the past few months, and still have a long way to go, but are excited to see the direction it’s heading in!
To date, we have bootstrapped this project, and it is free to use for all masjids and users, and is totally ad-free with no premium subscriptions required.
