HISTORY
Established in 1981 as a small machine shop with only 3 employees.
1993 - Started manufacturing mostly abattoir equipment comprising of stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium components which were exported worldwide with strict adherence to International food industry standards.
Since 2003 we have focused on the production of exceptional quality structural steel fabrication with 60 employees and growing with market demand.
CAPACITY
With 12 boilermakers and 4 to 6 coded welders dependent on demand, as our core artisan competency, achieving an output of between 100 and 150 tons per month.
Saxon Engineering has implemented aggressive space and resource optimization principles to ensure a smooth flow throughout the facility.
PROCESS
Our process is simple yet effective and designed to afford maximum control over the fabrication progression, ensuring excellent quality, accountability and traceability from receipt of order to dispatch.
Although not yet ISO 9001 accredited, Saxon Engineering strives to be compliant and intends to be certified as such by mid to end 2015.
QUALITY
Increasing our presence in the field of structural steel fabrication, Saxon Engineering places maximum importance on the aspects of control of the process and quality of products we produce.
To this end, a comprehensive Quality Control Plan (QCP) is in place and is the essence of our process.
We pride ourselves in the fact that, at any given time of their own choosing, customer representatives are welcome to inspect dimensional checks and data packs. Any random item can be selected to verify traceability and accountability throughout each step of the process including the extent to which we ensure a dimensionally accurate and aesthetically pleasing end product. In conjunction with our controls, our quality awareness allows us to realistically predict and achieve our lead times.
