Launched in 2019 over 200 of poor women have been supported through SAYIWE MICROFINANCE loans.As SAYIWE MICROFINANCE core program provided small scale loans to underprivileged women to enable them in creating a sustainable pathways out of porverty . with 2 branches in 2 districts in Malawi.SM was set up under section 12 of companies ordinance 2019 with the objective of providing small scale loans to women groups in rural areas and employees both public and private sector so as to enhance their standards of living . Drawing to women empowerment SM strives to alleviate poverty by creating a system based on mutual in society. It works through identifying women groups with small Business in rural areas.The groups works through solidarity lending. Through the system SM has 95% repayment rate .
