The Supervision Committee for the expansion of Abu Dhabi International Airport (SCADIA) was formed following an Abu Dhabi Executive Council Decision (Decision 36, Session 7/2004) issued in May 2004.
The Decision grants SCADIA the authority to supervise the implementation of the expansion program through all its phases and until its final delivery. SCADIA has been given full authority to manage and follow up the implementation of the project.
SCADIA is therefore mandated to assign advisors, consultants and contractors, aprove design, tendering and awarding projects to contractors for all the phases of the project to its final completion.
SCADIA is authorized to approve payments, settlements and any changes to the project and all actions necessary to guarantee good performance of the project until its final delivery.
