SCALE

SCALE is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Doctoral Network funded by Horizon Europe. This innovative joint research training and doctoral program is supported by the European Union and brings together a consortium of high-profile universities, research institutions, and non-academic organizations across seven countries. The research project is coordinated by Otto von Guericke Universität Magdeburg (OVGU). The research conducted in the SCALE project will contribute to achieving the goals set by the The European Green Deal and The Horizon Europe mission on Cancer. The Doctoral Candidates recruited in the framework of the SCALE project are members of a well-connected cyber-physical-technological network developing physics-informed, data-driven and ML-assisted high-order physical and numerical CFD models across a wide range of CFD applications. These advances will: (i) accelerate the product design time (ii) open new opportunities to tackle processes that nowadays are impossible to simulate with adequate resolution. Industrial applications addressed in SCALE: hydraulic turbomachines, hydrodynamic propulsion, decarbonisation strategies for transportation, pharmaceutical industries, additives, heat transfer and thermal management concepts for electric motors (e-motors). Additionally, the recruited Doctoral Candidates will be trained and supported to become research leaders in academia and research-intensive industries.
