Scandinavian Kitchen Ltd imports across all Scandinavian countries and supply the Scandi ex-pat community and curious foodies alike with foods from the Nordics.
Our web-shop stocks over 1200 food products and delivers to the whole of the UK and (for some products) also mainland Europe.
In central London, the Cafe (near Oxford Circus) serves a wide selection of delicious open sandwiches (smørrebrød) for lunch. The store also has a big grocery shopping section where people can browse and pick up anything from herring to crisp bread. There's also really, really nice coffee.
As a business, we have quite a simple motto: We want to serve good food with love from Scandinavia.
It’s about getting people outside Scandinavia to realise that our food culture is so rich and good for you – about promoting good, Nordic eating. It’s also about making sure we help look after those Scandi ex pats in the UK so they never have to be without their favourite kind of herring, crisp bread, their favourite chocolate or salty liquorice.
Set up by Bronte Blomhoj-Aurell (The Dane) and Jonas Aurell (The Swede) in 2007, the business has grown from being a deli to branching out to being a cafe, deli, web-shop and food importer (with some wholesale). In 2018, we are launching our own range of ScandiKitchen Grocery Products -and opening our new cafe, too. We have a great team of 33 hardworking, super wonderful people working across the cafe and the warehouse and office. We've also published 7 books with more to come.
We're always looking for bright sparks to join us - and we're also looking for like-minded business brains to help us with our expansion plans.
