About The Scandinavian Physiological Society
The purpose of the Scandinavian Physiological Society (f. 1925) is to stimulate and support various physiological sciences – both research and teaching – across the Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The Society is a non-profit organization that among many other activities - Owns and publishes the scientific journal Acta Physiologica (f. 1889) and the open-access Physiologica (f. 2023) - Organises and supports scientific events - Grants scientific awards and travel grants - Supports young researchers in their career
