San Carlos BioPower (SCBP) is a greenfield, standalone power plant with a generation capacity of 19.99 MW supplying baseload power to the local grid The plant is located at Circumferential Road, San Carlos Ecozone, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Philippines, a prime agricultural area in the region. Feedstock for the plant will consist of sugarcane residues typically left in the fields after harvest and energy crops from dedicated plantations. These principal feedstock sources will be augmented by other locally available agricultural residue biomass. The facility will provide electricity to an area of short supply and increasing demand for power and provide an additional source of income to the local farming community.
