About SCHELLING 1867

“Schelling” the oldest Italian card clothing factory, is located in Baveno, on the rivers of Lake Maggiore, between Lombardy and Switzerland. The pioneer Giovanni Schelling, between 1865 and 1867, bought some fields, edified and began to produce elastic tapes for cards using English technology. These tapes produced web with industrial Proces. In the following years, the textile world introduced new machineries for the ennoblement of the tissues. From 1970, the sector of the ennoblement and finishing of the fabrics increased continuously. Schelling bought plants, modified the existing ones and proposed for each kind of finishing the right product.
