My Journey into Motorsport and Beyond Like many people in motorsport, my journey started with passion and curiosity. Growing up in Minnesota, where hockey was king, I was the odd one out, captivated by the intensity and thrill of Formula One. I watched legends like Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher race, completely mesmerized, even though my friends and family had no interest in F1. This childhood fascination eventually led me to a career in motorsport—though I never imagined at the time that I'd end up working in Formula One. After several years in corporate roles at industry giants like Kawasaki Motors USA and Nissan North America, I decided to pursue my degrees, juggling my job while completing a BA and MA. It was during my MA studies that I launched my coaching business, initially called JS Coaching, and started working with professionals in the motorsport world. From there, I was fortunate to collaborate with industry leaders like Formula Health, providing mental performance coaching to an F1 team, and Hintsa Performance, where I expanded my coaching to the corporate side. These partnerships have shaped much of my professional life, allowing me to combine my passion for motorsport with my desire to help others succeed. Empowering Women Through Coaching & Mentorship In 2025, I launched an exciting new partnership with Dr. Mecky McNeil of Health First. Together, we share a passion for empowering women to achieve better health outcomes through evidence-based coaching. This collaboration led us to create a group coaching program designed specifically for women, grounded in the latest research and available to women around the world. I’m also honored to serve as a mentor for FIA Women in Motorsport, a role that allows me to work closely with young women seeking to break into the motorsport industry. This mentorship program is close to my heart, as I continue to advocate for more opportunities and representation for women in motorsport.
