Schindler được thành lập vào năm 1874 tại Lucerne, Thụy Sĩ. Tập đoàn Jardine Schindler chính thức gia nhập thị trường Việt Nam vào năm 1996 và là một trong những công ty sản xuất thang máy 100% vốn nước ngoài đầu tiên tại Việt Nam. Công ty chuyên nhập khẩu, lắp đặt và bảo dưỡng các dòng sản phẩm thang máy, thang cuốn và thang băng chuyền Schindler. Đến năm 1998, Schindler đã xây dựng nhà máy sản xuất tại Việt Nam chuyên sản xuất khung, dầm hỗ trợ trong việc lắp đặt nhằm tạo sự thuận tiện cho các công trình trong và ngoài nước.
Jardine Schindler Việt Nam có trụ sở chính tại Tp. Hồ Chí Minh và chi nhánh tại Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng, ngoài ra còn có văn phòng đại diện tại Cần Thơ, Hải Phòng và Nha Trang.

Schindler was one of the first foreign-owned elevator companies to start operating in Vietnam, back in 1996. It is involved in importing, installing and maintaining Schindler elevators and escalators. In 1998, Schindler started its own factory in Vietnam, which produces brackets, beams and builder’s elevators for both local and export purposes.
Schindler Vietnam is headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City with branches in Ha Noi and Da Nang and representatives in Can Tho, Hai Phong and Nha Trang.
