ABOUT SCHOLARIDE INITIATIVE Scholaride Initiative was born out of a deep passion for educational equity and the drive to create lasting change in Nigeria’s education system. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the struggles of children in underserved communities, particularly in the remote area where my mother worked as a public school teacher in Ogun State. Seeing these children fight for access to quality education became a personal burden—one that fueled my determination to make a difference. In 2022, I joined the Teach for Nigeria Fellowship, aligning with a movement dedicated to educational transformation. That same year, I formally established Scholaride Initiative, with full operations commencing in 2023. Since then, we have executed impactful projects such as the Food Flask Project—providing meals to students—and the Canoe Project, where we supplied two wooden canoes to children in Makoko, ensuring their safe and uninterrupted access to school. But Scholaride Initiative is more than just a project—it’s a movement for sustainable educational support. Our goal is to redefine access to quality education, ensuring that no child is left behind, regardless of their background or learning environment. Beyond supporting students, we are also committed to empowering teachers, particularly those in low-income and underserved schools, with resources and training to improve learning outcomes. Through strategic partnerships, community-driven initiatives, and innovative interventions, we are building a future where every child in Nigeria has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
