schoms is the professional body for Senior Managers and technology managers in Higher Education, dedicated to leading and managing a diverse range of educational, technological, media, and institutional development and support services. Our mission is to provide strategic direction, support technological trends, and promote excellence in teaching, learning practices, and their environments. We unite an experienced community to evaluate emerging technologies, collaborate on pedagogical directions, and design innovative teaching spaces. This includes classroom technologies, AV equipment, room designs, and support services tailored to meet the current and future demands of Higher Education. Recognising the unique structural systems across institutions, schoms fosters a community of practice. This community allows specialised and unique roles to exchange best practices and collaborate on common themes. As a professional body, we champion continuing professional development (CPD) across all staff roles. We offer leadership and management development, alongside training and certification opportunities for technical staff in partnership with AVIXA. schoms Bursaries & Awards provide opportunities to explore local issues and challenges, sharing the outcomes with the schoms community.
