Hello and welcome! The idea behind Schoolable came from a frustrating conversation that we had one afternoon coming home from an early learning centre. Being so passionate about children and early years' education, it was always a struggle to understand why many educators would not put in the work or effort that learning experiences within the first five years truly deserves - after all, they are employed as educators not child-minders.
While this was often a 'debate' we would have, it wasn't until one day when Mike said:
"well, we can't keep coming home and having this same conversation on repeat... why don't we change things ourselves?"
From that moment, the spark was lit for Jordie and I. As typically happens, things went from zero to 100 real-quick as we went ahead with creating and preparing resources and planning our content strategy.
Now, we know that we can't change the way everyone views education and the first five years specifically, but we can try our best - one educator, and one early learning centre at a time.
