The School and Beyond Foundation

The mission of The School and Beyond Foundation is to prepare exceptional Black students in the United States and Ghana to succeed academically and create the future they imagine for themselves, their communities, and the world. Our approach is based on our four pillars: 1. Mentorship: We connect our scholars with incredible mentors who serve as role models and provide academic and career guidance. 2. Education: We deliver educational lessons in computer science, health and wellness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. 3. Discourse: We facilitate discussions with experienced professionals who have diverse backgrounds and expertise. 4. Scholarship: We award merit-based scholarships that enable our scholars to focus less on finances and more on academics. Our students receive: - 18-24 months of mentorship - 6 months of intro classes & speaker series - Support with college and scholarship applications - Internal scholarships Our goal is to run recurring programs across the United States and Africa to help increase the number of Black university graduates and specifically the number of Black students that study and pursue careers in STEM, finance, and entrepreneurship.
