Schwartz Law P.L.L.C. is newly established as the successor to Schwartz & Shaw P.L.L.C., which began in 1991, originally as Richard Schwartz & Associates. The firm was designed to serve and meet the far-reaching and unique legal needs of our education clients. Since its establishment, this firm has performed services for more than ninety school systems in North Carolina and other states. Richard Schwartz has represented nearly every school system in North Carolina on at least one matter over the last forty-two years.
We have effective working relationships with officials in the North Carolina General Assembly, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, the North Carolina State Board of Education, the Governor’s Office, and other areas of state government; with the Office for Civil Rights, United States Department of Education; and with the National School Boards Association, North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT), Public School Forum, and various organizations involved in education throughout the state and nation.Our vast experience in education law provides our clients with a wealth of knowledge, contacts, resources, and background, enabling us to provide timely and accurate advice.
