The Spanish Computer Science Society (SCIE) is a scientific society with the following purposes: a) Contribute to the scientific and technological development of our country in the area of IT. b) Act as a qualified interlocutor, both for civil society itself and for its representative public powers, in the areas of competence of the Society. c) Promote research, innovation and technology transfer among the different agents involved in the advancement of these disciplines. d) Promote activities with other national and international associations with similar scientific purposes. Among other tasks, the SCIE is responsible for providing continuity to the CEDI, organizing future editions of it; as well as the National Computer Science Awards. * The CEDI or Spanish Computer Science Congress aims to serve as a meeting framework for professionals preferably dedicated to research, development, innovation and university teaching, within the field of computer engineering. * The National Computing Awards have the objective of recognizing the merit of the work of researchers and institutions that have contributed to scientific advancement, technology transfer and the progress and social visibility of Computing.
