Here’s how we help STEM organizations (university departments, research labs/centers, science-focused nonprofits & industry partners): 1️⃣ Broader Impacts development, measurement, and communication. We’ve done this for the NSF Center for Molecularly Optimized Networks for 3+ years and helped secure millions in funding while making genuine impacts on society through established community and industry partnerships. Every stat needs a story ❤️ 2️⃣ Redesigning and evaluating chemistry curricula. For example, we’re working with the University of Florida College of Pharmacy to make their curriculum 3D using molecular animation and mathematical modeling. Chemistry should not be taught using stick figures! 3️⃣ Statistics and Data Visualization. We’ve done hierarchical linear modeling on large, multi-institutional datasets with Auburn University, developed Data Visualization Workshops for researchers (ask the NSF Center for Sustainable Nanotechnology 😊), and are partnering with professionals at the University of South Florida to provide supplemental mentorship in research statistics to their graduate students.
