SCIL Peintures a plus de 60 ans d'histoire et SCIL Bénin est aujourd'hui gérée par la troisième génération d'entrepreneurs dans le domaine des peintures et vernis. La maison mère italienne créait en 1982 SCIL Togo avec la participation d'un important homme d'affaires togolais et, en 2002, le même groupe ouvre SCIL Bénin. En 2012 après l' extension de l' usine de Cotonou, toutes les fabrications des peintures sont concentrées dans cette unité de production dans la zone industrielle à Akpakpa. Au même moment le groupe a crée une nouvelle société, CASA & COLORE, dans la zone industrielle de Lomé, pour la distribution et l'application des peintures SCIL au Togo.
