SciMed Technologies is a Canadian based diagnostic product development company, primarily dedicated towards the research, development and commercialization of state of the art diagnostic and analytical products for the nutritional and clinical industries.
Our products are globally recognized as VitaKit A™ and VitaKit D™. VitaKits are ELISA based diagnostic kits that rapidly and accurately measure vitamin A and vitamin D in liquid milk. VitaKit A™ and VitaKit D™ have been developed and are sold by SciMed Technologies Inc.
Pipeline Products: SciMed is developing new microfluidic chips (Nutri-Chip™) which will intergrate a number of laboratory diagnostic tests onto a single chip a few square centimetres in size. Microfluidic lab-on-a-chips will be able to measure a number of nutritional ingredients and biological molecules important for food safety and human health. Nutri-Chips™ are inserted into a robust hand-held detection meter that can read the analysis and results of the Nutri-Chip™.
