Typical glass and plastic lenses use digital cropping or physical movement to zoom - a ridiculous limitation for the twenty first century. We’re building lenses capable of lossless zoom without any movement, using our novel liquid crystal technology. They can instantly adjust their optical behaviour to take the perfect photo, no matter the situation. This presents enormous benefits for smartphone photography, which normally relies on digital cropping or multiple apertures to zoom and take great photos. Our lenses can quickly adjust their zoom without pixelation, correct for optical aberrations, and adapt for any condition to take the best photo possible. No need for multiple apertures - one of our lens systems built into a smartphone can do it all. It's not just smartphones that need better lenses. Numerous industries, from virtual reality to LiDAR sensing to microscopy, all suffer from fixed lens limitations. Our technology is transferable across applications; a paradigm shift for optics.
