Scotland Re:Design is a national social enterprise organisation for fashion, accessories and interior workers, fundraising to create Showrooms, Exhibitions, Sales, annual Awards, Runways, Retail, Events, Career Pathways, Business & Employment opportunities. It has delivered Showcases & Business Development internationally as well as it’s annual programme in Scotland. Originally the Glasgow Design Collective it became SRD in 2012, & has been formally constituted in 2018. SR:D works to advise and protect the rapidly growing fashion & interior market within the creative industries sector, addressing gaps & researching opportunities across all sectors. Scotland's textiles industry alone exports to over 150 countries and is the creative industries’ fastest growing sector. Awards are an intrinsic part of SRD’s programme that recognises key talents and businesses with huge potential, taking them on a journey through strategic interventions which began with a collective of six announced in 2006 including Christopher Kane, and has seen Scottish design taken to London, Paris, New York, Chicago and most recently, Hong Kong. Considered one of the most influential business support accolades in the Scottish design world, the awards provide winners with the recognition, mentoring and ongoing support package they deserve. We deliver a flexible format in any city or country that traditionally include five days showcasing around a creative theme. In the past we have touched on topics ranging from the environment to making, anarchy and evolution. Our events regularly involve schools, business support, workshops a static display, runway and private drinks reception.
