Scott McNaughton Development Group, Inc. (“SMDGI” or the “Company”) was incorporated in 2006 to acquire and develop real estate in Chicagoland and to provide asset management and other services to property owners. Since inception, SMDGI has successfully acquired, developed and sold numerous properties and has consistently adapted to the evolving real estate market. SMDGI has been appointed Receiver for over 100 properties in the counties of Cook, Kane, DuPage and Will, with engagements spanning from the far south suburbs to Chicago’s north shore. Scott McNaughton, founder, and owner of SMDGI has a lifetime of experience in real estate. His most recent activities include experience across the residential and commercial segments of real estate as a Developer of new properties, a commercial and residential General Contractor, a Broker, and as an Owner of numerous multifamily properties in the Chicagoland Area. Prior to founding SMDGI, Scott graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. As a construction manager for James McNaughton Builders, Inc., Scott managed the construction of over 30 homes ranging from quaint bungalows in Chicago’s McKinley Park neighborhood to multimillion-dollar estate homes in Chicago’s western suburbs. Scott is currently co-owner of Tartan Builders, Inc., a residential real estate development firm that he started with his brother in 2012.
