Scottish Environmental Technology Network (Setn)

Scottish Environmental Technology Network (Setn) company information, Employees & Contact Information

The Scottish Environmental Technology Network (SETN) supported the development of the Environmental and Clean Technology (ECT) sector in Scotland with funding from the Scottish Government. Working across Scotland, SETN was hosted by the University of Edinburgh (2006-2010) and the University of Strathclyde (2010-2014). It served as a focus for innovation, investment and knowledge exchange for a growing network of 250+ SMEs. SETN provided valuable services to members including: technical expertise, seed innovation grants, internships and access to laboratory facilities/testing. The group also created networking and collaboration opportunities through regular events and communications. An annual conference attracted around 250 delegates. Scottish Government funding for SETN ended in 2014. In line with their strong commitment to knowledge exchange, the University of Strathclyde supported the creation of a new Strathclyde Eco-Innovation Unit (SEIU). This offered laboratory services and other technical support such as consultancy to the ECT sector on a commercial basis or via grant funded projects.
