The Scottish Seafood Association (SSA) provides a united voice for Scotland’s seafood processing sector, engaging with policymakers and industry bodies to shape policies and legislation that support our members. Sustainability is at the heart of our mission. We promote responsible sourcing by supporting UK quota regulations and sustainable fishing practices. In 2016, SSA became the first association in the world to achieve Marine Stewardship Council (#MSC) group certification, making sustainable accreditation more accessible for small and medium-sized processors.
