Scout Electromedia was a pioneer in the design and development of wireless product solutions for the global marketplace. In that regard, Scout, through a space termed "electromedia," seamlessly integrated media content with a dedicated and powerful wireless device. Scout's first line of products—modo—was distributed in 2000. It offered superior design, voice, and functional characteristics targeted to active urbanites who had a continual need for current information on the happenings in the cities in which they live. The branded content merged with the innovative devices resulting in products with high consumer appeal at moderate price points.
