The peak hour rush at restaurants can often mean people spend half their time flagging down wait staff to just place their order.
There was little to no support for staff in what is an extremely demanding and fast-paced service industry. This led us to question, why can’t the computer in our pockets connect to the computer behind their counter?
Restaurants across the world (most notably in US and Japan) are embracing table top ordering systems, which is a fancy way of saying that guests can order directly from the table without the help of serving staff. In the restaurant of tomorrow, you sit down and use a device to browse the menu, select your food, create your order and get it delivered to your table.
To remove waiting times at restaurants and improve the overall customer experience, the concept of EAT+ is created.
EAT+ is an app that aims to apply the Online-to-Offline concept into Catering sector. We provide software (POS system) and hardware (Tablet and Printing Device) to the restaurants. The App allows customer to order food online and enjoy the food offline. Customers can place orders either before they arrive at a venue or when they are seated. This means that customers order when they are ready instead of when the wait staff are ready.
Moreover, WeChat Pay has been approved to be one of the licenced stored-value service providers in Hong Kong in August 2016. As a result, we believe that the integration of online payment processing and a platform delivering brands opportunities to interact and engage their consumer base has the potential to revolutionize and optimize the consumer experience in catering sector. EAT+ aims to integrate into the WeChat service account so that customers can use WeChat to access to our system for placing an order or paying a bill.
