Each year, construction and demolition companies send an estimated 36 million tons of wood to landfills. In addition, there are thousands of people in the Cincinnati region who would benefit from free furniture.
We reduce waste and help people.
At Scrap2Home, our volunteers collect scrap wood from construction sites - wood normally sent to a dumpster and then a landfill - and use it to build furniture for people who need it.
Our wooden furniture is built to last. We construct each piece to ensure strength, durability, and stability. All items are sanded before finishing with stain or paint.
