Scythia Films is a production company with operations in Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg, London and Los Angeles, led by Daniel Bekerman. Scythia develops original works and, international co-productions, and is one of the premiere service production companies in Canada.
The company is behind Ali Abbassi’s The Apprentice, which recently had its North American premiere in Telluride 2024 after premiering in Cannes in Competition. Briarcliff will release the film, which stars Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Strong, and Maria Bakalova, next month. The company is in post- production on I, Object directed by Oscar nominee Andrew Niccol, starring Anna Faris and Karl Urban.
