Doctoral School of Electronics, Telecommunications & Information Technology

Established in April 2012, the International Doctoral School of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology (SD-ETTI) from Politehnica University of Bucharest (UPB) is organizing advanced doctoral studies in the broad fields of Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications and Information Technology, e.g., Optoelectronics, Micro- and Nano- Technologies, Analog and Digital Integrated Circuits, Power Electronics, Quantum Computing, Photonics, Lasers, Sensors, Quality and Dependability, 5G/6G Networks and Services, Wireless Networks, Mobile Communications, Internet of Things, Cybersecurity, Microwaves, Cloud and Edge Computing, Embedded Computing, Global Navigation Satellite Systems, Radars, Earth Observation, Autonomous and Green Vehicles, Autonomous Robots, Artificial Intelligence, Audio/Image/Video/Text Processing and Analysis, Big Data, Bioengineering Signal Processing, to mention but a few. With hundreds of PhD students, 50 PhD supervisors, over 200 graduates so far, thousands of publications in journals and conferences from the main dissemination flow, tens of implemented projects, national and international, both from academia and industry, and state-of-the-art infrastructure, it is the most prestigious ETTI doctoral school in Romania. SD-ETTI is an international school, organizing cotutelle thesis with many universities worldwide and hosting many foreign PhD students.
