SDG Data Hub

The United Nations Open SDG Data Hub, is the worlds first ever destination democratizing access to the voice of the people and the SDGs. The Data Hub will be designed to organize every aspect of audience, community and marketplace segments to reach a worldwide audience. The Open SDG Data Hub promotes the exploration, analysis, and use of authoritative SDG data sources for evidence-based decision-making and advocacy. Its goal is to enable data providers, managers and users to discover, understand, and communicate patterns and interrelationships in the wealth of SDG data and statistics that are now available. Never has this a level of collaboration and country ownership happened between SDG data and global to local monitoring and reporting processes- full accountability and engagement loop. This SDG Data Hub is the UN’s First time, via, UNSD, it’s Statistical data Division, that it will ever release all of their data in this fashion, for the world to use. Currently the SDG Data Hub has an architecture of over 70 years worth of data and open API tools for bi-directional data flow - 20 years already live on the website (Sdg.org). THE DATA NETWORK VISION A data network with access to tens of thousands of open data sets from all governments around the globe and trillion+ data points, having the ability to develop tools to reach any citizen segment and engage citizens when and where they are in a place to apply sustainable development. ENGAGING WITH THE DATA Making this information open data & available to the global audience, starting with putting together networks of thousands of NGO’s and IGO’s giving them the ability to distribute API’s, using the data, into any research and or marketing interface, customer segment and data channel to help unlock the potential of human engagement around the SDG economy and better solve the world’s most important challenges, while measuring the economic impact of every engagement from every touch point.
