The SDL Group Ltd is the 'one stop shop' for all your sporting needs. Formed in 1977, by our chairman Geoff Lord as the founding partner, SDL evolved to become wholly owned by the lord family in 1990. Innovation and acquisition are what has helped form the SDL Group of today.
Originally as SDL trophies, the primary purpose was the distribution of trophies to retail establishments in the UK and Europe. The company have been significant contributors to the development of the UK Awards Industry over the past thirty years and as such hold a mature market share.
The Stuart Surridge Brand was purchased by the company in 2005 and is now a significant contributor to the UK Team wear and Education sectors. As well as Supplying garments for all sports and activities we are continuing the Surridge heritage of high quality cricket products.
The second generation of the Lord family are now driving the company forward. Maintaining their core values of family, quality and exceptional design. SDL has grown and developed as a company working with brands such as Gaelic Armour, Body By Byram, Cross 23, Melany K and Bodylap. With high aspirations and the design team growing, SDL Group will continue to innovate and offer products that meet the demands of the market.
