SDU Robotics conducts research within the fields of modeling and control, computer vision and model-/simulation-based engineering. Our aim is to work on research problems from real robotics applications from industry, hospitals and other partners in society and to play our role in facilitating that our research results will apply with our partners and elsewhere.
SDU Robotics has a long research tradition for close collaboration with industry on production applications addressing robot solutions involving sensorial processing, mathematical modeling, learning and simulation. We perform research within industrial applications, welfare robotics and medical robotics.
We offer research on a very high international level conducted mainly through externally funded research projects. Furthermore, we are strongly involved in the educational programmes in Robot Systems Engineering with an intake of around to 130 students per year.
