SeaLight Sisters Society is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to advancing the health, well-being, and rights of women in the maritime industry. We are committed to creating a supportive network that fosters resilience, promotes mental health, and champions legal rights for women seafarers. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀: 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: A maritime industry where women are empowered, protected, and celebrated. We aim to transform the industry through support, education, and advocacy, ensuring that every woman seafarer feels valued and supported. 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀: Trauma-informed therapy, grief counselling, and career guidance to support women navigating the challenges of maritime life. 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀: Workshops, online resources, and guided meditations to strengthen mental health and well-being. 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀: Mentorship, support groups, and buddy systems to build a community of support among women in maritime. 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆: Courses, seminars, and resources on employment rights, maritime law, and human rights. Access to legal clinics and consultation to address workplace harassment and discrimination. 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: Promoting inclusive work environments and raising awareness about the unique challenges faced by women at sea.
